Default First Vette - Finally! - Electrical Issues

Well, after more years than I will admit I finally have my first Vette - a Silver '97 with 63K. Appearance and mechanically very sound, but it does have some electrical issues. Car has been lightly used for about three years with a collector who takes very good care of his cars. This one was actually his mom's who drove it until she left us at 85!

1 - Pretty basic; the windshield washers don't work. Can't hear any sound from the pump when activated so this is probably a straight forward replacement, unless there is an issue with the switch gear inside. Couldn't find any posts on signal problems from the stalk.

2 - The first key remote works fine; the second ...nothing, even after a new battery. Did the sync procedure but still nothing. Don't want to go through the learning cycle yet, since I don't want to chance screwing up the one that works. Has anyone tried a quick disconnect of the battery to cure this?

3 - Memory seats - All the lights function as they should in the programming cycle, but then nothing happens when you use the memory function. Nothing at all, no seat movement, no mirrors, etc. All of those components are working OK otherwise.

4 - Trunk mounted CD. Couldn't get magazine out, but then found the post suggesting sliding a piece of hard plastic down the front. That worked like a charm. Put new CD's in, gave them time to register, but no response from the radio. Pulled the plug on the changer and I did get an error message on the radio once, but then nothing. I did notice that two draws were missing from the magazine, but I did make sure that the first and last position had draws inserted.

Once you start driving you quickly forget about these issues, but I want to get this 100% functional.

Any help is most appreciated!! Thanks!

P.S. Put new Michellin A/S Sport Run Flats on and so far I really like them. Not too harsh or too loud. Looking forward to giving them a run in the rain.

Pull any codes from the DIC and post them. The CD changer MAY BE the discs in backwards-the discs load in backwards of what you normally think would be the way to load them-you put them in backwards and the changer goes INSANE.
