Do a search for "passenger window". Failure of the passenger's window motor is a common malady... mine's on its 3rd replacement.
I don't think GM has a TSB out for it yet, but if they keep failing, expect it. Since it's under warranty, it won't cost you a dime for them to replace it. Just make sure the mechanic puts everything back together tightly so there are no rattles AND reconnects the speaker. One time they forgot to reconnect the speaker and it had to be taken apart again. Good luck.
It happened to my 2000 when it was new. Window regulator, common problem.
Make sure they mirror the settings from the old regulator or you window tip out will be out of alignment. Don't assume they will know this. I've found that the info on the forum is for more than most tech's know about the C5
When this happened to mine several months ago, I read on the forum to hit the inside of the door with your fist...wherever the motor is...and it will unstick, which I did and it has been fine since.
window regulator, hummm... this is funny, my chrysler concorde does the same thing on the driver's side, dodge told me to slam the door shut and it would work! guess hitting the door is the same idea-will try that!
anything we can do to avoid our vettes being in the shop, huh?
Sure. Never drive'em. Turn them in to Garage Queens and spend our days polishing, buffing and Zaino'ing. Then hope we live another 40 or 50 years to see them fully appreciate in value. :jester
