I've done this swap a few times, often replacing the long shaft only

Sources:

1. Rpmtransmissions.com
2. DTE
3. Mark Williams
I believe the above are all 300M

Who else?? Is there ony a few shops making these, and some are relabeled?

4. OE GM C6Z06, I have not seen these yet, I understand they are not 300M, just a thicker version of stock c5?

I do NOT have a degree in materials science, just looking for feedback on what are the typical break items and what you have chosen to fortify your running gear in the C5

I just followed these two post and upgraded my differential to C6 output shafts (both long and short) DTE Bellview springs, new C6 clutches and DTE spider cross shaft.

I also have the FIRST Transzilla T60/60 T56 up-graded Transmission in the country. George at Rockland Transmissions,, ROCKS!

Just installed the C6Z06 left and right output shafts today

pretty basic stuff, having a press was a must for the short side

I had a friend machine out a piece of pipe that I used to fit around the cross shaft. I used the press at work. Everything went fine.
