Took mine apart today. The middle lower bulb I did a test run and it worked. Onto the rest that are dead.
Great! However, given the fact that they take some time to disassemble to access, they are relatively cheap, and all of them have been burning for pretty much the same period of time, think it might be good to just replace them all with a fresh set? You'd hate to have one fail next week, right?

Not too worried about it. I'm not the one doing the soldering. A friend of mine is. I helped him with the first one. It's a slight pain. So I don't want to give him any more work than needed.

Your a lucky guy to have someone else doing the soldering!!
I had looked at those and others and found some at radioshack that had wires bigger than a strand of hair.

Hey guys, my 14 bulbs needed replacing, so I installed new bulbs. My problem now is the bulbs remain on. I checked the board and all seems ok. Any suggestions?
I also replaced the leds and they will stay on even when the car is off. I noticed you also ran into a similar problem. Where you able to resolve it? Thank you
My problem is I went and replaced all 14 bulbs, checked each with a 9 volt battery before I soldered them in and it still doesn't light up. I never has a problem with the digital display, just the backlighting.

Did you replace them with LEDs or regular bulbs. If LEDs they have a polarity to them. If not built in they also need a resistor in series with the LED.
