Less than 35 for me wears out the outer edges before the center...more so on the front than rear??

Most of the tires that we run are made for a max of 44 psi depending on how much weight is actually on the individual tire/best wear characteristics.

If you can run less than 34 cold, great. You'll have more traction than me..but Toyo T1R's, general exclaims and pirelli pzeros need more for even wear

How low can or do you run yours and still get even wear all the way across the tire? What tires?

I've had GY runflats, GY supercars, and Kuhmos. I've always run 30 psi, and have had even wear on all three sets. In fact, I have run the recommended tire pressure on every vehicle I've owned for the last 20 years, and never had a wear problem..ever....except for when alignment was an issue. I guess I've just experienced some sort of weird fortune all these years......or maybe it's because I don't base my decisions off the internet experts.

good to know. I hate goodyear. I've ran about 30 psi in every 3000 lb car I've owned too...the Vette doesn't like it on my tires for some reason. I actually prefer the lower pressure for the wider contact patch, slightly softer ride and better traction.

For best wear and fuel economy..I have to run about 38 in the fronts and 35 in the rears.

I haven't checked fuel economy but rolling resistance takes power, power takes fuel.
I tried the eagle F1's or something used one time and the traction just was no where near that of a pilot sport/T1R. Wear is probably good though

keep in mind that some consider guys like you and bill curlee "internet experts" at least as far as a C5/vette is concerned. I'd bet that you have more knowledge also being "on the internet"...than I could go find at my local mechanic. 20 years can't be taught to someone...live and learn

I'm certainly no expert. I'm just a guy with a C5, that understands the service manual. I would definitely put Bill in the expert category though.

Forums like this do have value. It's good that people can learn about common problems with their cars, and at least gain an understanding, so they don't get raked over the coals at a dealership.

with you 100%. I have the same weird good fortune as you. Internet experts thats funny & probably wise not to pay any attention to them.

Final update... They put my old wheels and some POS used tire on the front of my car while they are getting my new wheels repaired.... Guess what?? Vibration gone! Car looks silly right now with two sets of wheels on it so I'm letting her stay in the garage until she gets her new wheels back on... Might be the longest I've gone without driving her since I bought it...

Thanks for all the info!!
