Anyone got a picture showing the headlight relay location ? What is the easiest way to access it. I know it is located below the passenger headlight but where ?
Please state the issue you are having. I've not once heard of a relay failure in regards to the headlight. Usually the headlamp/multifunction switch is the cause of most headlamp issues.
Thanks guys, did not realize that the relay (controller) were the same thing. As for the issue I have a clicking sound like a relay opening and closing in that area and the battery drains within a few hours.
Then most likely you don't have an issue with the headlamps. A low battery will cause strange sounds from the headlamps. What's going on with your battery that it drains within a couple of hours?

I am wondering the same thing, it is a Brand New Sears top of the line gel. First one went dead and would not take a charge. Replaced under warrenty and this one drains in about to hours if acc is on.
The ACC powers a lot of things when its on so I'm not surprised that it'll drain pretty quickly. Put a meter across your battery with everything turned off. You need to see a minimum of 12.5vdc there for the electronics to work when considering starting the car. The starter will turn over with less but the computers won't work. Can't you just turn on the ACC when you need it, then turn it right back off? Seems the safer way to do things to me but of course I'm not in your shoes. The headlamps will make weird noises when the battery goes real low. Now unless your headlamps are coming on and staying on when they shouldn't, that's a different issue.

I have the same problem with the ignition turned off, not ACC. Periodically my battery will drain in a few hours and as I charge it, the headlight controller will click continuously. All my grounds are cleaned and solid. I've been through three batteries this year and about to get my fourth.
There's no relay, just the controller located on the passenger side
headlight mounting bracket:
(ignore the little white square next to it, getting ready to mount an HID ballast)
The controller is completely sealed. Don't really know what all is
inside.
my retractables go up but not down, motors sound good, check everything else, you it could be a controller, everything started when my battery died and tried to start it,headlamps when up and stayed there,i have a new battery, still stays up

I have just started to have the ticking sound from the headlight control module. My headlights pop up with I turn them on but, the headlights do not retract when I turn them off. To turn them off, I have to flick the high beams on.

That is the relay. That's what that clicking noise is, as the guy said it above this answer, he doesn't know what's inside there!

The clicking noise is the relay having a coil inside of it and that coil is not functioning fully most likely to assured of over under charging it from the alternator. Either one will cause malfunctions in the relay and cause a clicking sound. It can also be the actuator, the actuator cuz also of relay, it will also click. Clicking noise could also be stripped gears inside the headlight. That's extremely common!
My issue is not failure it is lack of voltage. I have new headlights and poor lighting. According to Kent Bash it is typical and a headlight relay connected up front on the driver's fender to the wiring to the horn can take care of the problem. Trying to connect again with Kent as he was out of relays last year.
I am trying to find info on the Mad Electrician. Found the web page last year. Called and finally connected. He told me he was out of supplies and would get back to me. Last summer. He clearly knows what to do and I want to to follow his instructions . Called yesterday and will call today. Any other suggestions? I need brighter headlights and already have upgraded to Halogen. 11 volts ar headlight is the issue.
