Default Tire size

Can somebody tell me what is the largest size of tire and wheels i can put on my 2000 conv. without any modification? Thanks.

You can easily run 265/40/17s in the front and 295/35/18s in the rear but keep in mind that while grip may improve, unsprung weight and rotational mass will most likely increase as well.

So with the original wheels that size of tires you are giving me would be safe? The reason I want larger if only for esthetic reasons...for the look.

You should be OK with the stockers and 295's. Go to tire site and see what is recommended

Keep in mind that you will be about 1/2" lower and your speedo will be reading somewhat high. Your car might feel a little more bouncy also.
