Hey guys,
I'm getting a water leak that's not flooding the carpet but definitely a considerable leak. The leak seems to be originating at the A-pillars, I can see the water dripping of a piece of rubber between the dash and the A-pillar. I thought it was just a faulty door gasket, but it seems to be actually leaking somewhere inside the A-pillar and the water is collecting like right where your left foot is (driver) and right foot is (passenger). Any ideas?

Check the udders! Also, check the BCM area for water. If the BCM gets wet, you'll have big problems.
check the udders like lucky said first cause they're easy...and if the water is coming in on the BCM like he just said...there is an AC drain in that thread called "leak checks"...thats the one if it's dripping in your passenger footwell.

Just reviewed all of the sources in Bills post there in the "leak Checks" section and the water isn't coming from any of them - at least not on the driver side, seems to be a roof caulking issue because if I peel away the weatherstripping like at the top of the a pillar there is water peeing out of a small hole..... Maybe some butyl tape can help...

there is a post in that thread or somewhere, where Bill helped a guy with a leak in a similar spot as yours by using some black silicone I believe.
You can post it in that thread if this one happens to move down quickly so it will stay up top..
Your NOT going to like what I have to tell you. The leak your experiencing is UNIQUE to FRC's and is a fairly involved repair.
You need to remove the door seal, remove the drip rail, scrape out/off all the old dry sealant. Reapply new sealant, reinstall the drip rail without breaking it and install the door seal.
The T area where the roof windshield header and drip rail meet has dry herd sealer and thats where its leaking.
OK.. Is this a job I should do myself? Is there a DiY somewhere about performing the repair? I'm a tech myself, but typically say away from the exterior sealing/body stuff...
Also, how could I tell if the water is getting in through the door hinge area? I wonder if I should just seal up that area too..
On my FRC (2004 Z06) at one point, rain water would end up on the front of the passenger seat because it was coming out of the A-pillar. The water was actually coming in through the top of the windshield on that side. I lifted up the back of the molding just above the windshield, on that side, and put in some "flowable silicone". Fixed ever since. Why not test with a hose and see where it's coming in from?
Yeah I will test when I wash it tomorrow likely. I'm hoping I can fix it myself. Although if a body shop is necessary to reseal it I'm ok with that too... I would like to know more about sealing the door hinges, where exactly to seal it up... I'd like to do that just in case its going to leak.
