I orginally posted my problem of the dashboard gone crazy and nothing working, error messages, radio shutting of and so on. With everyones help I finally fixed it. When I took apart the rubber boot that houses the wires that go from the door to the car there are two connection blocks. One big with 10 wires and a smaller one with 6 wires. Sure enough when I took apart the smaller one it had green corrosion in it, not that bad but enough to really screw up the car big time. I cleaned it up and now everything is working great. I am talking a low mileage 2003 in perfect shape that is kept inside. WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT ??
Hopefully this will help someone else who has had the same issue. I honestly never thought it would have boiled down to this. Again thanks for everyones help

I had the same issue and the same fix, also on a low-mileage 2003 a few months ago. As an added precaution I wrapped the wires and connectors with electrical tape when I put them back together.
You may also want to consider taking apart and cleaning the ground connector on each of the two frame rails under the hood. They also get the green crud and can cause problems. They are easier to get to and take less time to clean than the ones in the doors that you've already done.
Bill Curlee's sticky on electrical issues at the top of the C5 tech page is well worth the time that it takes to read.
Hi!
Are the 2 connector box are inside the door or under the dash? What I see is a rubber tube in between the door and the car. I think I have the same problem that you had and I want to fix that.
Thanks
