Default Two Wierd Problems

The first problem: I recently changed my front brakes, just the pads. Now when I drive I hear a rubbing sound. When I start the car up and spin the tires they seem to spin okay but I can hear the the brakes are rubbing. Anyone know how I can fix this.

The second and actually weird problem: my electrical system seems to be possessed. Sometimes my car operates completely fine, but at random it seems to have a random problem. Sometimes the left turn signal dash light will remain lit not blinking. When this happens, if I turn the left turn signal on, it flashes but the flash is followed with a tone. Sometimes when I shut off the car the driver side seat doesn't go back. Sometimes when I get in the car the seat doesn't go forward. Other symptoms that might be related: my right rear tire pressure sensor keeps losing signal. I've replaced the sensor twice now. Also, the car seems to stall once in a while. I've heard about ground bundles. Does anyone think that could be the problem, and if so which one. Anybody got any other ideas I would greatly appreciate.

Thanks

Clean up your grounds and wire junction connectors and these will disappear.

Can you be more specific? There are a ton of grounds and connectors. Is there a bundle in particular that might have all of these devices on it?

Thanks for the reply

I don't remember all the details so a search on grounds would be good. There are several good threads. The sticky on electrical will probably have your answer.

Generally, I suggest cleaning the grounds in the engine bay and the two at the base of the A pillars. I found enough corrosion in the engine bay to cause my problems.

AND, how old is your battery? A weak or dying battery can cause all sorts of weird electrical problems. Have it load tested.

i believe it is normal to hear the pads rubbing the rotor. they are always in constant contact with each other. unless you have something else going on there.

I believe you have more than one issue and they are not necessarily related. First thing, are we talking C5 here? Your sig shows 1985???? It would help to start off with telling us what model, year car we are talking about.

If we are talking C5:

Turn signal weirdness. The flasher/hazard units are a known issue. It most likely needs to be replaced and there are a number of how-too in the forum. Search is your friend.

The battery is new.

Ill check to see if the pads are in backwards, but this rubbing is not normal.

This is a 2002 Convertable. Sorry I have an 85 as well.

So I checked the brake pads. They are in propperly. the wheels spin just fine, until I pump up the breaks. then the rubbing begins.

Eric, I dont think it is a bad module. All the random problems started within a week of one another. If they are all isolated, Chevy needs to stop building cars. But just to be sure, I will check the units.
