resetting oil life meter

resetting oil life meter

the mechanic at the dealer changed the oil but forgot to reset the DIC oil life remaining to 100%. how can i do this? thanks

When you scroll through a get the "Oil Life Remaining X%" press and hold the reset button for a few seconds. :seeya

Gaww,
Turn key to "on", depress gas pedal 3 times. Oil life is reset.

Whoa, never heard that one.

Turn key to on, hold reset for 5 seconds and you're good. Don't start the car when you're holding reset or the world blows up. :cheers:

I used the: shut door, turn on ignition, press gas pedal three times method.
It works well. I found this from a post in this forum.

How about posting in the tech tips for reference? :cool:
