Replaced the outside ambient air temperature sensor and car still thinks it is 30 degrees outside. So a/c still won't work unless you drive above 45 mph for like two minutes.
Is there a reset for the outside ambient sensor or something like that? I am truly lost.
To add to the frustration. We took the corvette for a drive after new sensor was installed. It started off at -22F, yes that is a negative. And never got above 34F and by the time we hit city streets again it was in the 15-17F range up until we parked in the driveway.
Am I missing something here? To me this seems way to complicated just to turn on the a/c when it is 90F+ out here.

Did you do any troubleshooting, or just change the part? How do you know the sensor was bad?
If you have any corrosion in any of the associated connectors it will increase the resistance that the climate controls is reading.
The resistance across the two sensor wires could be almost infinity,
in that case your display would read a low temp.
Just Try removing the sensor because then the HVAC defaults to 69 degrees and will let the AC turn on.
