Hey NoRice:

I paid just under 40g's for the whole package. The engine alone I think is around 15g's, but you would have to look at their website for the exact price.

I mainly went to DRM because they are well known for their handling excellent handling packages and they give you the most complete package for the money. Basically nothing is optional. When I was at their shop there was a LPE car having it's suspension completely overhauled and at the time Rippie was in the middle of building a tube chassis Corvette race car for a Swiss guy. I looked at Mallett and LPE, but Mallett was 30% more money because everything is an option, and LPE is more of a 220 mph turbo guy. I wanted more of a road racer that was normally aspirated and I got both with Rippie's package. My car is kind of useless in 1st except to start off in traffic, but the 4:11 and the other mods make in intense on the canyon roads and there are quite a few around where I live.

The motor was secondary to me. I personally would never buy a newer Vette to do a 1/4 mile. They are road race cars to me. You can build a Vega to do a 1/4 mile, but you can't do much of anything to make it handle like a road racer. I know to each his own, but horsepower alone won't win a roadrace.

I did not have WCC build my motor, but they did a superb job installing my 4:11 rearend and installing some other cooling mods that I wanted. I feel they charged me a fair price did a clean, neat job and they treated me very well. I will continue giving them my business and I spent slightly more on my car than a H/C job.
