Broken seat bolster. I have read on here about this and think I have one broken. Can someone tell we actually what the bolster is? If it is the internal upright support on the side of the seat I for sure have a broken one so the question becomes..... how to fix it?

Start at 6a. Once the back is unzipped there are 6 push pins, a.k.a christmas tree clips that need to be removed. Once the clips are removed the seat back will fold forward. Next you have to peel back the bolster side covers and this will reveal the side bolster air bags. A couple of things could be your problem.
1) The nipple going into the bag is broken off at the plastic connector tee. There is a fix on the forum where a member explains using $10 blood pressure cuffs for this fix.
2) And this is the problem I had. The bag had a hole in it. I went to my local swimming pool supply store and picked up a pool patch kit for $7.99. Make sure you get the one with the tube of glue, because some kits are just an underwater self-adhesive patch. This type doesn't work.
Good luck!

Pull the seat out of the car and set in on a work bench or the tailgate of a truck to work on it. Get some fiberglass mat and resin which is available at wally world or most auto parts stores. I put two layers inside and two layers outside then sanded the edge.
Mine was still attached but hinging out when pressure was put on it. I just pulled it into place with masking tape while I applied the fiberglass patch.
This is the patched up seat bolster.
While you are in there you might as well put something under the seat foam to protect it from the wires. I used some plastic sign board. I had new stuff but political signs will work fine.
If you are under 180 lbs you might consider repositioning the bolster foam and leave it all inside instead of sticking the bolster in the pocket. Makes a nice snug fit for me.
I have kept this information for future problems with the seat back. I failed to mention in my original request for help that it is my seat cushion not the back that has failed on the outside of the drivers seat cushion. I sure wish the suggestion of the blood pressure cuff would work for the seat also. Does anyone know of any simple fix for the set side without removing the seat and going through the steps suggested above.

DavzC5, how difficult is putting the form in for the average Joe with marginal skills. Is it a big deal for a novice getting the seat apart to refoam the bottom? I obviously need a new foam.
