rear outer cv joints
Help. I need to purchase the rear outer cv joints for a 97-04 corvette with IRS. I have a Factory Five GTM with 667 HP LS7 and run vette rear suspension. I can't find replacement parts for this application. Are there any aftermarket parts that are stronger. I am putting 540 foot pounds of torque to 345/30R/19's at the rear. Hard on the joints! Does it use a standard C5 rear cradle? If yes, you may want to locate a complete late model C6 cradle and convert over which doesn't take that much to do.
You should be able to find just the cv joint if that is really all you need.

No. We are using a Porsche G96 (GT3) transmission. The inner axle joint is a Porsche cv joint connected to a custom axle that is designed for a 97-04 outer cv joint that sits in the stock c5 rear bearing and knuckle.
