Went and looked at a 99 Coupe w 41k... Has newer Z06 wheels with the wrong TPMS sensors in them so when I checked the codes it threw alot of them relating to that deal.... But it also showed a C1255- EBTCM Internal Malfunction..
What is a EBTCM? I did a search and cannot find it....
It's EBCM Electronic Brake Control Module-Get your wallet ready (assuming you can even find an EBCM for that year anymore). The early cars had this module in the rear of the car, later models moved it to the front and are repairable.
C1242 BPMV Pump Motor Ground Circuit Open
C1243 BPMV Pump Motor Stalled
C1255 EBTCM Internal Malfunction
CEBCM Internal Malfunction
C1261 LF Inlet Valve Solenoid Malfunction
Thanks for the heads up... I think I'll just pass on this car then. One headlight gear was bad, driver seat lower foam was wore out, and a driver rear axle seal was bad on it too....

For sure. If you have cash in hand, this is a great time to buy. There are plenty of low mile, one owner, well maintained C5's out there.....be patient. Kudos for checking the DTC's, and asking questions first !
I know... I'm sooo ready to buy my first Vette, but I'm having a hard time locating low mileage under 20k Coupes in Pewter or Silver w/auto trans.....
Oh well, the search continues.....
I looked for months for mine. Every time a nice pewter vette would come up for sale, it was gone in no time. I'm glad I was patient though, I ended up with a very well maintained, fully documented car.
