I had an aluminum f/w in a heavy camaro convertible and it wasn't a problem to drive it in stop & go traffic every day. Never noticed any issues with taking off from a dead stop & never noticed RPMs dropping any more than the heavy oem f/w between shifts. I did notice it was a lot easier to lift up & hang on the crankshaft though.

It'll make it easier to drive in stop-and-go traffic.

Heavier is better for drag racing, lighter revvs up faster......I've had them all, raced them all(havent dragged the chromoly yet) and never felt or seen any difference.

I have a steel wheel. Easy to drive. As stated above the rpm's fall off faster when you depress the clutch and that's about all I noticed after I installed it. I did it for a weight savings. The more you shave off the entire car the better off you are in the long run.

Another forum member that runs built LS3 in his C5, just changed to a lightweight flywheel. Now it dies after you blip the throttle. To get going you have to goose it, or it stalls. He's not happy with it. It does have a big cam, as it makes 505rwhp n/a.
