evans water pump help

i just received my evans pump today and i was about to install it but i noticed that the instructions say that for water based systems, remove both weep hole and thermostat bypass plugs or it could cause bearing assembly failure when used with water based systems.

i tried calling the company but they are closed. does anyone know if i have to take out the plugs or do i leave them in.

Forum member "Pumba" I believe runs that pump, although not sure what coolant he is running. You could try to shoot him a PM.
