Just today I experienced the same issue. The outside temp was 60F but the head unit says 17F! No A/C!!! Should I replace the sensor as the first action? I see in the service manual if the sensor is removed the system will default to 56F. Is this an OK thing to do until I can get the sensor replaced- or will this throw codes?

thanks, c-5 tech, actually when I looked inside the old sensor it looked a little rust colored, I will check the conector :)
Bigmac, I would change the sensor it is only like $7 and 1 min install :)
