Default Corsa Exhaust Leak

I recently put a new corsa pace car exhaust on my 04 vette. Last night I saw water dripping out of the joint connections. Does this mean I have an exhaust leak or can water leak out of the joint connections as well as the weep hole in the muffler.

I believe that this condition is normal. You will probably always have condensation leaking out of the clamped joints. I know that I do. I have also installed quite a few aftermarket exhausts for friends and they all do it. As long as there is no exhaust coming out of the joints, you're good to go.

My Corsa exhaust gets black around all the joints. I have the joints as tight as I can get them. I suppose that is normal for bolted exhaust systems.

Mine leaks like a sieve. I go in and re-torque it now and again.

It's only normal if it's a poorly designed, manufactured or assembled flanged or clamp style joint. The OEM exhaust system on my coupe or Z does not leak.

Two pipes slipped over each other with a clamp will always leak a certain amount. It's usually nothing to really worry about though.

Seems to me that factory systems almost always uses joints that are gasketed. Must be some reason, right?

Yes I believe that reason would be preventing the injestion of carbon monoxide.
