1281 Code
Recently replaced ebcm with a used one (only one available). Then I got C1225 code and C1281 code. Cleaned grounds I could find and removed left front wheel and cleaned connections to sensor.Now am getting C1281 code only. Any easy to check before I take it somewhere? Not a mechanic but have managed to fix first two problems from good advice on here. Thanks for this forum

Why did you replace the EBCM to begin with?

Did your replacement EBCM have a M or V on the label?
My 99 JL4 optioned car had an incorrect M version EBCM w/o JL4 installed. It coded 1281 and set SVS lamp.
Installed correct V module and all problems corrected.

V=JL4 Active Handling
M= Non Active Handling

Wow....good question....cant answer it though....just felt lucky to even find one and I thought I only needed to know if it had active handling which they said it did when i purchased it from used corvette parts supplier
