Default Pre-2001 LS1 Questions

Just looking for commentary on the pre-2001 LS1 vs. 2001 and up. I've had my 2000 coupe for a little over a week now and since it's my first Corvette I'm more than happy with the 345hp/350tq that it delivers. It's amazing, to be perfectly honest. However I'd be interested in hearing how much difference there is, if any, with the 350hp/375tq that came with the 2001 update to the motor. Did the actual 0-60 and 1/4 times change? I can imaging the 25 extra ft/lb would be noticeable, but with the hp only going up by 5 that must mean the top end did not change much.

Took a friend for a ride the other day and he could not believe that a "pushrod V8" could continue to push him into the seat well past 4500 RPM. Nothing but smiles from me!

Welcome... No matter which C5 you have, its a ton of fun. I have had my 2001 convertible for four years and I still smile every time I drive it. Here's a link to a site that might answer some of your questions. Enjoy your car....

There is a difference and you can feel it but it's not much.

The LS6 intake plus a little different cam profile, exhaust changes etc..

Im not sure but I would assume that the power under the curve increased a substantial amount considering the torque increased by 25 ft/lbs. If that is true then it should pull harder at all rpms but I wouldn't think that with an average driver you would see a change in 1/4 times
