help- no fuel pressure?

help- no fuel pressure?
pulled into store last night and shut the car off. went to get back in...fired up for about a second and then died like it ran out of gas. tried to restart... nothing. car turns over fine... but i have no fuel pressure in the lines, verified this by removing check valve on the driver side line and turned the car over, no fuel coming out?
i had to have the car towed to a shop (sucks seeing it on the tow truck) and am waiting to hear back on what codes come up.
is this a typical issue with the computer... or am i looking at just a bad fuel pump?
anyone else run into this?

On another car I had, there was an 'inertia switch' that made my car behave them same way. The switch is there to kill the engine in the event of a rollover. It was faulty.
I've not heard of a similar problem on the C5s though.

If the fuel pump isn't running, you need to look at whatever fuse controls it via the relay. There is a ground right close the fuel pump in the left tank. I'm sorry I don't know precisely where the ground is located but someone in here will.
