lights up
but no lights on they were working fine all of a sudden they stop working but only the headlights i push the lever forward and no high beams either but i pull the lever back and the high beams turn on what can it be

More information please. When you turn on the headlamp switch, do the lamps come up/raise? Are they lit up at any time? First check all the fuses in both fuse compartments which is a good idea for any other unknowns or undiscovered items. Look at the two connectors at the headlamp controller which is mounted on the right frame rail directly behind the passenger headlight. They both need to be plugged in securely. Pull your codes from the DIC. Most likely its the headlamp/multifunction switch itself which has a high failure rate amongst most owners but due diligence on all the other items first.
