I need a new BCM (Body Control Module) for my 1999 FRC. and does anyone know if i need specifically a BCM for a 1999 or if another year would work in mine. Any feedback would be appreciated.
Another year BCM will work, although you may need to do some rewiring at the BCM harness. You will also need access to a TechIi when replacing the BCM so you can program it to your options. You need to make sure. The new BCM matches resistance with the pellet in you key (or spend $20 on the auction site for new keys with the right pellet for the BCM).
I put a 2001 BCM in my 97 so I could turn off the TPSM error meesage. I had to rewire one circuit (the ABS/TC power-on signal circuit from the BCM to the relay in the fuse box). I then reprogrammed the BCM for my option set and let the PCM and BCM do the security handshake and that was it.

Alright, Thanks man. This is probably a dumb question, but what is a "TechIi"?
