I just purchased a 2001 with 5k miles, 6 speed, I had driven about 45 minuted at highway speeds, When I got to town I parked the car, when I started the car the engine missed at low speed, I continued in town, while driving, the engine check light started flashing (engine missing ) I stoped the car and after about 1 hour started the car and all was ok, When I got home I pulled the codes U1000H and U1064H Anyone know what is wrong ? The car runs great now.
Hi There,
Those codes indicate a low battery or loose or corroded cables. Check your cables & then check the voltage with dmm between the positve & negative terminals of your battery. If your reading in 12.20's then put the charger on until you are above 12.50 & then delete the codes & then post up the current codes.Auto zone can clear the ECL

Many C5 codes are related to a poorly performing battery (or grounds). Once the battery is charged or replaced, the codes may disappear.
Wait until you get the codes from failing to ratchet the fuel cap properly or reset the oil life monitor after an oil change. Those get a lot of new owners (me included).

You are right about those ground points! There are about a biz-zillion of them, especially check those in the front of the engine compartment, they attached to the frame with a cheap plastic connector.
The blinking CEL is the missing code. There is no sep code that is posted. I had this problem after installing new wires (MSD). A few were touching some of the AIR components. The red plug wires had some black spots where there was touching - I wrapped some 3/8" rubber fuel hose around the wires that were touching and have had no problems since.
This missing only occurred on the track, I assume it had something to do w/the wire temps.
Thanks, I have a new battery, and I have checked the grounds on both sides of the frame, Couldn't see any other grounds from looking from the top of engine. I also just changed oil and filter and reset the millage, I have MSD coils, I did notice that the third spark plug wire on the driver side had some rub marks on the plug wire, maybe that is it.
Thanks,

Also note that, unlike factory coils, MSD coils do have a history of going bad.
Sorry, That should be 50k. I have 3 MSD coils that have expanded where the red casing is put togather, I have not been able to contact MSD to get some testing specs. Anyone know how to test the coils ? and should I go back with a set of GM coils ? The codes were in the BO-RFA, No other codes listed.
Thanks
