Ok so cruising home with AC on and talking to wife, I notice the engine has an extra sound with the raising of rpms. So down go the windows. And it sounds like a few lifters or a few rockers. So I turn off the AC and sound goes away. Get home and have wife hold rpms at 2k. With AC off, then ON. When on it makes a rattle sound. So turn car off, then on. Now AC stops working altogether. No rattle anymore, but also no AC. Get B0361 and B0441. Now I have no AC anymore, on any vent. will blow ambient temp though. Did the compressor take a crap? Or does it need refrigerant?
I find that if you rotate the cooling **** up to highest heat and back to cool a few times they start to work again, there is also a fuse that you can pull to reset the actuators, otherwise the need to be replaced. Check all the easy stuff first.
The actuator infor is correct, and you need to check fuses, but I am guessing you need to check your freon level as well. If the compressor is making a lot of noise, that would be the first thing to do as low freon would do that. Also, do the codes have a "C" or "H" after them, as that would indicate current or history codes. Let us know

Yes freon, but it sounds like a door problem. Very common.
That is as you said if the A/C compressor is not blown out!
As dmarkshark said, have your freon checked first. Those two codes can often by cleared-once your freon is proper--by various means. Check the long post on "HVAC actuators", I forget the exact title of the post, for ways that have worked for others. I cleared mine by various combinations of turning the system off, then back on, with engine running and not. Hopefully you can reset the actuators "externally" and not have to tear into the dash.
I've had two compressors start to leak after reaching about 4 years of service. If yours is leaking the bottom of it will be covered in PAG oil. I believe the AC circuit is protected by a pressure sensor that disrupts the clutch circuit if the refrigerant pressure drops too low. It's to protect the compressor - ironically.
OK so I hooked up the can and gauge and I got 80+ psi coming out of the low side. I couldn't add any needless to say. Guy at the parts store thinks its a clog or something. Any other ideas???
If you can't get the compressor operating, the gauge-on-a-can showing 80 is the "static" pressure. To add any refridgerant to the system the compressor has to be working.
From the rattling noises you were saying that it made, I'd bet your compressor is shot. Have you reset the codes? I just replaced my Compressor about a month ago because my a/c would only work the day that I'd add a can of 134, but it always had enough in the system so the compressor would actually come on Not a "fun" job to replace, but the write-up in the Sticky made it much better.
