Wiring issue (wideband)

Heres the scoop: I replaced the sensor when I was getting power but it still didn't read anything, just flat-lined. *That's not so much the issue anymore. *I am getting power and ground at the connector that plugs into the back of the gauge. *The source for the power and ground are the same sources that my fuel pressure and methanol pump get power and ground from. *I've tried plugging in a different gauge head and it still didn't work.
Couple more details....I stuck a paperclip into the + terminal at the connector that goes onto the back of the gauge and a separate paperclip into the - terminal and bridged them with my test light. *What I got was just a spark. *I didn't think a test light was supposed to be conductive but who knows.
* Also, When I was testing the + with the paperclip, I would hear that the meth pump seemed to lose a little power (like it was weak) and the activation light for the pump would go dim. *They both would go back to normal as soon as I removed the test light.I haven't inspected the harness that comes from the actual wideband sensor to the back of the gauge, but I wouldn't figure that would have anything to do with powering the gauge itself.
I think I've covered it all. *Does anyone have any suggestions here?

I picked up another wideband today and hooked it up, it powered up for a second and then that gauge head was fried, also.
I guess the accessory pigtail in the drivers footwell is overpowered by the AlkyControl kit and the fuel pressure gauge.
Ill order another one and give it its own power and ground.
