Default Test the key fob?

I there any way to test the key fob transmitter to see if it is actually working? Since there is no LED on it....
I can't get mine to program, I replaced the battery and cleaned all the connections, but when it tells me to press both buttons....I hold them for up to a minute and nothing happens. So I am now sure if the fob is even working.

Thanks

Advance auto, Autozone and our local dealer can do that here. You might want to check them where you live. Only takes a couple minutes. Good luck

You could try to program the other fob and see if the car accepts it and if it does but the problem one doesn't, then you've got a bad fob.

You can try inspecting the board on the fob for any cracks or breaks. Often resoldering the visible connections will get a fob going again.

Yeah, I read a thread here somewhere about that....I will take a look and see if I can find any bad solder points.

I resoldered mine and it worked great for the last couple of months....before that it was dead. What I found was the connection at the battery boot was cracked and had lost connection to the circuit board. I am by no means a professional solderer (is that to many er's???) but it worked!

I had the same problem too last month.
Quick question, does your tire pressure register?
I thought my fob was dead but it was actually the wireless receiver in the trunk area that was dead! Check your codes to see if there's any relating to it.
I dread having to replace the receiver, I can only imagine the outrageous prices. Still need to pull it out. Maybe it's just a bad ground!

My tow front wheels will register with the TPMS but the back two will now, So I have to assume the reciever is working and I just have two bad sensors.
