hi guys im new here! i got a 2004 z06 with h/c 430/405 with stock intake and t/b.question is does anyone here have any knowlage of this intake mod? or seen any numbers? for 350 bucks just curious if it would help out this car a little.thanks jeff
I saw something on the auction site... a plate that you can use to bolt a ls2 tb to a ls6 intake...it looks like a reducer....idk it this would help or hurt performance?
yea i think ill give it a try,for 350 bucks and a t/b it can't hurt right? do these 90mm t/b conversions hurt drivibility at all if properly tuned ,i know it needs a harness to fit the ls2 style but thats all i know...jeff

That COMPLETELY defeats the purpose of going to a larger TB.

I have one of these intakes and I love it. You will need a tune, but my driveability is perfect.
As you go from a LARGE pipe to a medium size to a small size pipe or air intake, the velocity or speed of the air increases and flows into the cylinders quicker.

so you are saying that going to a 90mm tb to a 78mm opening would increase the flow into the cylinders quicker?

Not so sure this is true when you have a negative pressure on the small end and atmospheric (14.7) on the large pipe.
If it were true why would NASCAR run restrictor plates to slow down the cars?
What it should do is increase throttle response and decrease top end power, giving the illusion of a faster car.
