Remote car starter for the C5???

Remote car starter for the C5???
Has anyone installed a remote car starter on their C5???
What I would like to do is utilze a factory GM remote starter system for a newer Vette or any other GM car or truck and make it work on my Vette.
The reason I want a factory system is to retain the factory GM key fob.
Anyways, any thoughts on installing a remote starter would be appreciated.
Oh, and one other complicating factor is that I have a 6spd. Seems people get all scared to talk about remote starters on manual tranny cars.

Isn't the door locks and trunk release on the same fob as the remote start? Getting that to work would be an issue.
Installing a remote starter itself is no different than with any other vehicle. Not sure if there is a neutral switch in the Vette but there very well could be.

I just did one a few days ago on my 99 car. I purchased the kit of ebay for 78.00 5101 viper and it didnt come with instructions
Took me lots of digging to get wiring diagrams and such, but the actual install time is only about 2 hrs.
If you get a kit, make sure it includes "VEHICLE SPECIFIC" install instructions. ( just ordered a couple more kits for dad and girlfriend and am installing them for christmas presents )
My car I used the kits fobs ( as mine were no good) but you can get kits that retain the factory fobs and you just hit door unlock 2x to start

My local Stereo shop does it I would look for one in ur area and let someone else do it that quilified to do it hate short something out make sure its a good shop also. No hacks on the vettes just my .02
