Outside mirror refinish

Some jerk hit my passenger side mirror and scratched the paint. Has anyone had any luck rattle can refinishing small areas with Duplicolor matching paint and clear top coat?

I've had good luck with Duplicolor products. I've done the wheel well edges and lower areas but black is a pretty easy color in inconspicuous areas. Don't forget the clear as well.

Let us know how it goes. After 8 years of bugs and rocks my mirroe is not exactly pristine now.

Find someone local who knows/is a painter. I had my driver side mirror done at a body shop last year by a friend of a friend for $50. I took it off and took it to him, and had it back in 3 days. It is perfect. I dont think rattle can Duplicolor paint/clear is anywhere in the ball park of what a body shop will do for you. FYI, I had another body shop quote it before I found the guy I used and they only wanted $100, with no "good ole boy" discount.
