Coolant Change Problem
I recently went through the process of draining and refilling with distilled water until it ran clear- now the thermostat appears not to be opening even when the temp rises to 220 and the electric fans kick in- The coolant tank is full with new dexcool I'm thinking that the thermostat must be sticking shut or is it something else? airlock? Anything short of replacing the thermostat that I might try?

My theromostat came with specific instructions ... running with the coolant system open is the key
