A small moth has gotten into my instrument panel behind the clear plastic. :mad I tried to remove cluster but had no success. I had half the car apart, but still the guages would not come free more than an inch or two. Do you have to remove the dash pad? How do you get to the wires to disconect. When I get my hands on that moth he'll really be dead. :smash:
Thanks for any help you can give.

I think you have to remove the dash pad but I'm not sure. If you do a search on HUD there are some instructions for installing HUD on a car that doesn't have it and it tells how to take the dash pad off. Since you can get an inch or two of room have you thought about slipping something in and pulling the moth out?

You do not have to remove the dash pad! Look for the thread on how to install white face gauges, I just installed mine a couple of weeks ago, you have to remove the knee pad below the steering wheel, and there are a couple of bolts to remove to lower the steering column, and you can remove the whole cluster, if you find that thread it tells you step by step, sounds more difficult than it really is, I installed my gauges in less than 2 hours.

I think you better just sell the car and start over with another one!!! Dead moth parts can really bring the value down...especially in the instrument cluster!!! Good luck man!! :p: Just kidding....we'll get if figured out!!! Eric
