I put a full set of Brakeperformance.com slotted and dimple drilled rotors on. I used the brake pads that came with them and they squeak alot. I used grease generously. Should I get different pads or what can I do?
New pads and rotors have a procedure for bedding....is that spelled correctly? That procedure usually comes with new pads....At least
Hawk pads come with specific instructions. (ie. brake hard from 60 mph ....then brake hard from 40 then at 20mph)
This covers a variety of processes. Pick the one that fits and do it. I doubt that you have any pad transfer to the rotor in any quantity to warrant you manually remove it. It is the same pad that the rotor started with so no dissimilar compounds to worry about......
Still squeaking about drive me crazy. Thinking about just buying some new wagner thermoquiets. How do i tell for sure if its the front or rear making all the noise? The old stock pads squeaked but these new ones are worse.

This is true. However, a main point to note in the bedding process when stopping from 40 mph and 20 mph is do not completely come to a stop.
I did take the pads off today and they were glazed. I sanded them down and reinstalled. still squeaky but better. I noticed that the shims werent on very tight.
It is quite common for new rotors or brake pads to squeak within the first few days before they're completely broken in. If it has been more than a few days and the squeaking still hasn't stopped, you should have your brakes looked at by a professional.
