Default Radio keeps playing

Even after I open the door and get out of the car the radio keep playing, sometimes for several min. I can open the passenger side door and it stop's.

Sounds like you have a window valet installed....

Check your OBD 2 port under the dash...

It'll look like this:

I've outlined in red the circuit you should check. Either Ajar Switch, Wiring or Connectors.

or it sounds like the same problem i had. does the 'security' light flash, the interior lights come on, or door chime work? if none of these, it sounds like the sensor ain't working. i took my door panel off & saw that some idiot unplugged it before i bought the car.

look down the window channel by the latch. there should be three connectors plugged in. the 'door ajar' plug, if i remember right, is the one on top & closest to the interior side

Oh yeah, I remember seeing those plugs and they were all pluged in. There is a rod that attaches to the latch that slides a black plastic thing with prong's on each end. What is that for?

My Cavalier does that too. The computer will save your battery and turn off the radio after 20 mins, but it still isn't right. I'm thinking its the door switch.
