To change either the light or wiper multi function switch is difficult if you do it per the manual. It requires removal of the wheel and air bag. Do a search in both the general and tech forums on the switches. There was a good DIYwith pictures on how to perform the repair without removing the wheel. It requires making a small tool, but if you are at all competent with tools it should not be a problem.

I did this about 2 months ago. Was not difficult at all. I reviewed the posts on replacing the turn signal, and followed those instructions to access the switch. Took me about an hour, and it was the first time I removed any of the interior panels, so I was quite cautious and slow.
