BCM HELP HELP HELP PLease

Can you list the DTCs that it throwing & what are all the symptoms that your having??
Bill

Memory chips that had their own battery backup, have fallen out of style so to speack and finding a replacement chip might be the hang up on getting this module rebuilt/repaired. Is the dealer trying to rebuld?
Good luck. I would like to offer help, just don't know the BCM.

See,, I told you the STEALERSHIPS Bastards are lying to you!

If it were me, my car would be OUTOFTHERE! Search for a BCM on your own. There available and yes, theres a procedure for BCM PCM sync and it works. That BCM is expensive (last time I purchased one it was around $300) and by the time they screw with installing it and programming it, you will loose another $1200!!!!

The dealer will have to TECH2 in the RPO codes that your car came with (example F-45 Real Time Dampening suspension ) but that is NOT difficult. They charged me an HOUR LABOR to do it. (which is Way longer than it should have been)

I just did a basic and simple search and found it available all over the place. Different prices of course...from $325 to $685 depending on where.

I have a damn Volt meter and common sense and I could have diagnosed it for you in hours. They have TECH 2 and "SPECIALIZED" training.

They have had your car FOR MONTHS! I'm ashamed that their calling them selves technicians.. Do your research, find the BCM availability and price options and go armed with knowledge.
Print this out and go visit the service manager. Snap the BCM back in, ask them to fully charge the battery (Its got to be almost dead by this time). Once the battery is charged, CLEAR all the DTCs and see if it will start..
If you have to pay more cash, I would be very up-set!
Hope you get your car back soon.

Get your car home and WE will get you back on the road. This really isn't that difficult and you with a little guidance, can resolve this issue.

If the person coming out to help you is capable, they will know this, but I still think you may have to take it, the BCM, not the whole car to a GM dealer (any GM dealer, not just the one that was screwing you around) so it can be connected to the GM data terminal (TIS?) and get your VIN/RPO codes (options) programmed. It is also called a "Tech Terminal" and connects to GM's database. It allows the VIN number to be plugged in and then in turn spits out all the correct info for that particular car which then gets downloaded.
A proper VIN number being programmed into it will ensure no RPO code issues or Theft Deterrent issues and IF the BCM was the actual cause of the problem to begin with, it will start right up.
Keep us posted.

BCM/PCM RELEARN PROCEDURE
You will need to conduct the PCM/BCM relearn process. This matches their handshake ID's and allows them to talk to each other.
Do this before you worry about VATS issues:
1. Turn on the key for 11 minutes.
2 Turn off the key for 30 seconds.
3. Repeat 1&2 two more times.
4. Turn on the key for 30 seconds.
The car should start and run with the new BCM. Good luck and report back on your progress.

This will sync the PCM to the New BCM but all of your RPO options will not be retained. You will need a TECH II to program them into the new BCM.

Before you replace the BCM, please read and post the DTCs that are present. Also report the status of the IPC Security light.
So, what did the service manager say when you wanted your car back???
