Default help with programming new key fobs!

i bought a new key fob for 02 c5. do i have to take the car to the dealership or something i can do at home? any info will be helpful. thanks.

It is right in the owner's manual and very easy. If you don't have the owner's manual, I think you can download it from Gene Culley's website at GMPartshouse.

KEYFOB PROGRAMMING:

1) Turn ignition on

2) Turn radio off

3) Press Driver Information Center (DIC) RESET button ( 6 )

4) Press OPTIONS button on the DIC until display is blank ( 4 )

5) Press and hold RESET button for 3 seconds ( 6 )

6) Press OPTIONS button until FOB TRAINING is displayed ( 4 )

7) Press RESET button to begin programming sequence. ( 6 )

8) Simultaneously press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK ( A & B )

buttons on first remote for 13 seconds until message

appears stating programming is complete.(may take a little longer than 13 seconds,be patient)

The computer

will ask to program second FOB. If you don't have a second

FOB follow on to step 9.

9) Turn ignition off and remove key for ignition.

10) Test remote or remotes
