WHY DYNO TUNE?? You do not need to. Its more for bragging rights than the tuning part. You can get just as good or even a better tune when one is preformed on the road.

I say this because I have experienced BOTH and I was more satisfied with the road tuning for performance and efficiency.

Call Chuck at Corvettes Of Westchester and speak to him about his EFI Live AUTOCAL tuning.

He sends you a tune using auto cal based on your cars current up-grades as a base line. You up-load the tune that he provides and drive the car using the AUTOCAL to data log. Once you data log, you send that file to Chuck and he makes corrections to the tune based on the data logged information. You can data log and send the files to chuck as necessary to get the tune spot on. The AUTO CAL is a LOT better and you always have the ability to retune the car and re tunes are FREE. Its basically the same as dyno tuning but you get the benefit of fine tuning the PCM to actual dynamic road and load conditions.

Here’s Chucks product. Check it out and give him a call. He is in Westchester NY, not all that far if you want to drive to the shop.

He tuned my car and I am totally impressed. Fuel efficiency and performance significantly improved over the tune I received from other tuners.

Once you get the AUTOCAL tune, you can do a dyno day and get the HP/TQ data during a DYNO DAY.

Chuck has a great product there! especially for guys who aren't too close to a quality tuner... he's 1 of the best tuners out there!

Dyno tunes are great to initially set up the car after mods, but street tunes are waaaaaay better to finish it up

Posting in the Northeast regional forum will probably get you more results.

edcmat-l1 (from VA Speed) comes to Pittsburgh periodically to tune. I believe they are a sponsor here. Not sure, though.

A street tune would be a good idea since you dont have any mods. If you wanted a baseline number so when you add mods in the future you know the exact gain of each mod then I would say get it on a dyno and see what rwhp you are putting out, but honestly you dont need it.

Doug@ECS has tuned many of these and could easily give you a range of what rwhp you have without ever touching the dyno, but then again it is a range and not your exact number.

As far as finding a tuner I would look to build a relationship with someone that you can trust to be there from day 1 and will continue to support you no matter which mod you chose. You will find only a few shops which have built reliable cars in many different platforms so no matter which direction you decide to go you you have confidence you are not their R&D car.
