While cleaning my C5, I noticed one of the rear side marker lights was loose. It virtually fell off in my hand. I did a quick repair with a little clear silicon, just to hold it in place. In the mean time I found a company who stocked these in the states, and ordered in a pair of 'red' ones (uk vettes have amber ones). I am still waiting for a couple of retaining nuts to arrive. Which is the best way to get to the rear of these units, when I come to replace them?

also, it's a 10mm tinnerman nut that digs into the plastic post on the back of the housing, so it is not threaded and will feel odd when removing or tightening. I tell you this so you don't drop one into the black hole inside the fender (like I did once!) Be ready to catch it by switching to your fingers after it becomes loose.
anybody know where to get some smoked clear ones? all i've been able to find are the red or clear ones. i'm gonna use a colored bulb & i want the black look on the housing but need the light transmission, so a blackout cover is my last option.
