Just wanted to show everyone that in a weekend you can make your own partition.
Air dry clay ($6 Crayola), MDF ($30 Lowe's) 49"x97" sheet 1/2" thick
I used clay for the shaping of sides and since I've seen other partitions I got most of the shaping from seeing them.
I made a rough copy from cardboard and then made MDF templates.
I fited them in the car and then made my piece from the two. I found the center and based my shape around the curves of the car and from others I have seen.
Fittment in the car was a challenge. I'm tired of sanding so I switched to an electric sander. Be careful when using or you will just eat through the MDF.
For a weekend project it was a good start. I have three more pieces of MDF to work with. The first piece is a nice fit, but I'll continue to work on it.
That's pretty awesome but - isn't that a coupe? Does a partition have a purpose in a coupe like that? Honestly curious
Dope
Sure, it creates that small space behind the seats to keep things from rolling around. Great for errands like small packages to the post office, umbrellas, a few groceries, without having to constantly go behind the car to keep opening & closing the hatch.

I like the idea of a partition to place items that I use while in my Vette. The cargo net is good but it’s in the back of the car and is not accessible without getting out of the car.

So is this the finished product, or will it be clad with carpet, to match the interior?
No, it's not finished yet. I'm debating on what to do next (paint, carpet). I still don't like the fit; ends are to tall. It's a little tight, but I don't want it sloppy, maybe velcro. Work in progress. I'm always looking for ideas.
Try using 2" thick styerfoam.
Cover it with carpet that matches your car.
Use H/D velcrose on sides & bottom.
That's how I did mine for my Z, except I used the H/D velcrose on the bottom & top.
