Default Throttle Body questions

I have a "Shaner"-ported throttle body on my 97. Since the addition of my supercharger, I'm curious if there is difference between this, later model LS1/LS6 throttle bodies, and the LS2 version. In particular, I'm looking at the interior diameter for more flow and faster throttle response for less pedal pressure.

The LS2 is a 4 bolt 90mm tb and will only bolt up to a FAST 90/92/102 or a TPIS modified LS6 manifold. You would also have to have the harness to plug into the LS2 TB.

Are the late model LS1 or LS6 throttle bodies any different than the early model LS1?

You won't notice a difference in a different throttle body, especially with respect to flow....you are already force feeding the engine.

I agree you are best advised to leave the one you have alone---it's plenty big for 90% of all applications---also to go bigger you'd need to replace your manifold to a newer style to accomodate a 90MM TB's AND if you don't have your own tuning software it will create all kinds on idling-surging and dieing issues
