Ok, I want to know which component of my suspension i would have to change to help my launching at the drag strip. I was told bushings but I honestly dont know my about it. Can someone give me some guidance or some links as to what to start with?
Lots of people, but you aren't giving us a lot to work with here.
Is the car stock?
I am assuming a 6spd since its a 2000 FRC.
What are you running for wheels and tires?
Is this your only car?
What sort of compromises are you willing to live with?
What is the issue you are having with the stock suspension?
What is your budget?
The car is a 6 speed. So far it has ls6 intake speed, inc cam 231/237, full exhaust, and veraram intake.
I only ran my car 4 times so far. I launched it once on the hankook 315 dr's at 16psi and couldnt hook with feathering the clutch. The 3 times i ran off idle i had 2.0 60ft times and ran a 12.7 and 114 basically every time. I think at that trap speed i could see low 12's high 11's with a good tire. I just bought some cnc ported 853's and am throwing those in this winter. My next step was going for suspension bc i was told that wheel hop is a big problem.
Its not an every day driver but im currently a full time student and part time worker so I'm not working with a huge budget.
If you are hitting 114, you have maybe 3-6 tenths to find.
Wheel hop is death to the diff on a C5. If you start wheel hopping, back off and blow the run, its not worth trying to roll through it and breaking the diff. If it was a dedicated drag car, you could look into different shocks but that will affect the way it drives.
I found the only way to launch my car without bogging or wheel hopping on drag radials was to ride the hell out of the clutch. You should ask a mod to move this into the drag racing section. You'll probably get better info.
I don't know if I agree with have 3-6 tenths to find with a 6 speed running 12.7's at 114. I would agree that you do have a lot to gain in your 60ft. If you are looking for a good street/drag shock I think the QA1 adjustables are best, unless you go coilovers. You can adjust for the track then dial it back down for the street. My car is an auto and I run 12.6's at 110. My 60fts are in the high 1.8's on my stock runflats with stock shocks. The car is a Z51 so I have a 3.15 rear. It has never wheel hopped. My car is lowered and did have C6 Z51 sway bars but I just upgraded to C6 Z06 sway bars and have not run the car since. My only performance mods are a Breatless Performance Vortex Rammer intake and cat-back with no mufflers. The car is an '02 so it has an LS6 intake too.
From what I learned the quarter mile time is dependant on your launch. I was also told in most cases 1/10th of your 60ft could equal up to 3/10th in the end. Like I said I was running 12.7 off idle so I figure with a good set of tires and a good launch I should see low 12's. Does that sound reasonable ?
Definitely, if you get a good launch, lets say you go from a 2.07 60ft to a 1.87 60ft, thats 4 tenths off your time. 1 tenth on the 60 is 2 tenths on the other end. So that puts you in the 12.3's
Your car, like mine has responded really well to your mods. I really want to get a set of headers on mine to see how fast it'll go on the street tires before it starts to spin. For some reason my car hooks really well on runflats. I'm also looking into putting a set of QA1's on it, I picked up a 10th on my 60ft when I put them on my C4 and that car had 100 less horsepower than my C5.
Like Fastguy said . . . have a mod move it to the performance section. A lot of us race but I have an automatic. Can't help you having a stick. You need to talk to some of the stick guys and IMHO . . . practice, practice, practice.

With headers/intake/exhaust and a tune I was running 12.4's@112 launching easy. With heads and cam, 11.90's @117 riding the clutch.
There is a mysterious sweet spot where the car won't bog, the tires won't spin, and the axle won't hop. That spot is hard to find and will vary depending on track prep, tire temp and ambient temp.. That is why you usually end up abusing the clutch to "guesstimate" where that RPM is.
Running 112, you have at least 2/10 in there, but it could be more.
