Default Shifter Woes

I seem to have an interesting problem. I'm having problems with shifting at low RPMs. It feels like there is a slight crunch on engagement usually on the 1-2 shift or the 3-4 shift the crunch not audible but it can be felt in the shifter.

Downshifts are perfectly smooth and at higher RPM shifts i have never had a problem with it.

I have played with the shifter alignment countless times to no avail.

If any one has any suggestions it would be much appreciated.

You may have an issue with your clutch master cylinder not disengaging the pressure plate.

What year and how many miles?

It's a 2002 Z06 with 55k miles.

I haven't ruled that out yet, I'm not sure what kind of symptoms I'd see. I have regularly changed my clutch fluid though.

Also I forgot to mention the Trans is an RPM Stage IV. I had an issue with the aluminum 4th shift fork when I got it.

I also tried changed the trans fluid which didn't seem to make any real difference.

Sounds like the clutch isnt fully disengaging. Bleed it out really good. I hope you have a remote bleeder.

I'll definitely look into it. Flush the clutch fluid out and see if it helps. I really wish i had a remote bleeder now lol.

Doesn't sound too abnormal to me. Is this something that just started to happen all of a sudden, as if someone flipped a switch, or has it gradually reached its current state?

If the clutch isn't fully disengaging I would expect your "crunch" to be audible. I'm not sure though.

You mentioned you have a RPM transmission - are your shifter and clutch stock?

It is the stock shifter and the stock clutch. I think it has gotten worse progressively, or possibly I just notice it more now.
