The GM parts diagram I looked at called it tube regulator vacuum. We changed the oil, removed the air filter, and blew the debris out between the condenser and radiator yesterday. I noticed that the small tubing was broken in half where it comes out from the left side engine cover. Just wondered what it does. I don't know how long it's been broken. I'll order a new one this week. Thanks!

It adjusts fuel pressure according to vacuum in front of the throttle body.
Running with it off or broken will have a slight effect on fuel economy by making the engine run slightly rich.

Thank you! So it's ok to drive until I can get a new one?

You can go to autozone and get a Nylon vacuum line repair kit to repair that line. It has a small sleave inside the kit and you can just mend the nylon line.
