my '03 just died in a parking lot. this happened exactly 1 year ago and i never figured out what was wrong. a jump start got me going. everything was completely dead. heard a few relays clicking in the panel in the passenger floor. just got home, turned the car off, tried to restart it and the same thing. completely dead. i checked the alternator, battery, relays, i started to clean some grounds. just saw bill's sticky about that. other than that, anyone have any other thoughts/ideas? also the gauge will read 14.0v when driving. thanks
Sorry to hear this.. I just went thru the same thing... Oz came by one day and we checked battery, clutch switch (6-speed) some fuses, unable the check starter headers in the way, I was going to jack it up and try but our weather went to He** (snow-rain and cold)so I said later, 6 days later I tried and she fired up.... first thing I did was smile real big,,,,then I shut it off, fired it back up and so far great.. If you find the problem please post it... I'll do the same... Is yours auto or stick??? (( tap on the starter with a crow bar a couple times if you can get to it and try )) my fingers are crossed for you...
I understand, I heard from others that the starter sylinoid ( bad spelling ) sticks and need a good vibration to enguage sometimes and tapping the starter can do it... good luck and keep posting..
just got it started. i wanted to check the frame grounds under the hood first as i read the are the ones to get gunked up easiest. first thing i did was grab the negative battery cable and wiggle it. the hood light came on which followed by the car starting. i cleaned all the grounds anyway and put some dielectric grease on them for safe measures. i must have just had a loose ground near the battery. if anything changes i will repost.

If you can move a BATTERY CABLE on the battery by hand,,,,,, Thats ypour issues right there!!! The MUST be torqued to the battery to 11 ft/lbs for proper connection. Remove the cables, wire burush and clean with brake parts cleaner. Install and torque.
