Default sway bars shock upgrade?

Ok guys, got an 01 coupe (60k mi) and glove box shows FE3 and Z51.
Car is my fair weather daily driver and I'm just getting into some HPDE events for fun, maybe a couple to 3 a year and a few 1/4 mi passes.

Is there any benefit to swapping to the C6Z51 sways?

Also, on the shocks, any benefit going to the C6 Zo6 shocks?
At 60k, from what I've read the shocks are toast.

Was checking out Gene's deal on the C6 sways and shocks and thats what got me thinking.

Also, if my C5Z51 sways are up to par, what kinda shocks would you guys recommend? Read good things on Bilstien which if my bars are good I'd go a little more $ on shocks...

Thanks for any advice...

Im not sure on the specs of the c6 Z51 bars but I dont think they are much bigger than that c5s so you probably wouldnt notice much difference. Now with the shocks you would probably feel a difference and the ride quality would most likely improve along with handling.

I asked the same question here and got a response that it would make a significant difference.

They havent been delivered yet but so I havent been able to try them but for the price I figured a little experimentation cant hurt.

Get the C6 ZO6 shocks. You will be very happy with them. They make carving corners a lot better!

Your suspension is more than adequate for the purpose you describe. You can get a bit more out of it by lowering it on the factory spring adjustment bolts to no lower that the OEM recommended level, a bit more aggressive alingment (Z06 specs) and some better tires if you have not done so already.
The Bilstein sport is a good replacement shock and there is no substitute for seat time when it comes to maximizing the handling benefits of these cars.
