They all seem to be about $399, even if you order them directly from Dave at DMH.
Where you can save some $$$ is either installing them yourself, or making a deal with the local shops that do this sort of thing.......or at least do this WELL
Anyone know are butterfly opens quickly or slowly when you pushed the switch to ON? i was thinking of this, but need to know how fast they opens up, and i saw rpm module on jegs wired it up and adjust the rpm you want to open automatically at like approx 2500 rpm, than no need of manual switch, for example you driving nice easy at cruising speed and decided to go WOT it opens up automatically at 2500 rpm or whatever you adjust rpm to open, would be pretty awesome.
But i need to know first how fast that stepper motor opens up.
Does anyone know if the cutout exit just below the transmission has any adverse effects on the transmission or the fluid integrity?
My car is a twin turbo so its going to be hotter than a normal NA car, and I don't want anything to go awry with the transmission just because of where the cutouts are placed.
I aks because I had a buddy who took off his catback for a while and had transmission problems. He took it to the dealer and they said they wouldn't fix it because the exhaust burnt it up. I really don't trust any dealer though, so I wanted to ask around here.
The motors open the valves completely in about 1.5 seconds. I hit mine as short as I can twice for a nice "in between" setting for most applications.
As far as heat on the tranny and spring, I think you are okay. I have not heard or read of anyone having an issue with this but I do encourage you to do some research before you make a mistake.
