Clearing Change Oil Message

How do I clear this message after changing oil?

turn the key on scroll thru to the oil life message ....push and hold reset OR push the gas pedal 3 times in rapid sucession

As crazy as it sounds, the gas pedal thing works excellent! Thats the only way I do it now!

There online for free, you should get it and read it-many good bits in there besides this.

This is how I do it every time, however I have always been told to hold it to the floor on the last pump till it resets and thats the way I always do it.

Works that way on many other GM cars and trucks too.

Just to clarify the procedure: Key ON with engine NOT running.

oil light

three times on gas pedal remember do this with the car off and you can also reset it on trip computer
